Emotional fight again? McIlroy to play in a group with a player from LIV

Will there be another war of nerves?

World No. 1 Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) in men’s golf will play in a group with a player from LIV. McIlroy won the DP World Tour (European Tour) Hero Dubai Desert Classic (total prize money of $9 million) held at the Emirates Golf Club (par 72, 7428 yards) in Dubai, UAE on the 29th (Korean time), with an interim total of 8 under par 136 until the second round. He hit and tied for 7th place. Accordingly, McIlroy was paired with Bernd Bisberger (Austria) and Dan Bradbury (England) in the third round. Bisberger plays for Saudi-backed LIV. 스포츠토토

McIlroy, who is active on the PGA (American Professional Golf) Tour, has not hidden his uncomfortable feelings toward LIV. Prior to this tournament, he was greeted by Patrick Reed (USA) from LIV at the practice field, but he ignored it and had an ’emotional fight’. In the midst of this, attention is focused on the content as McIlroy, who was the vanguard of ‘anti-LIV’, confronts LIV players.

Unlike the PGA Tour, which prohibits LIV players from participating, the DP World Tour opens its doors so players from the two groups can meet on the field. In addition to Reed and Bisberger, a number of LIV players participated, including Henrik Stenson (Sweden), Abraham Anser (Mexico), Ian Poulter, and Lee Westwood (England).
