Ghanaian striker missing in Turkiye earthquake is in hospital… survival check

 Ghana striker Christian Arts (Hataispor), who disappeared after the earthquake in Turkiye, has been confirmed to be alive.

According to a report by Ghanaian journalist Sadie Adams on the 7th (Korean time), Artz was rescued from the ninth floor of a building that was damaged by the earthquake along with nine of his colleagues and was taken to the hospital. He is now receiving treatment and is said to be focusing on his recovery.

Earlier, Atsu’s life and death were uncertain due to the Turkiye earthquake.

The situation took a serious turn when Atsu also lost contact after the earthquake. Art’s former team, Newcastle United, also left a message on social media wishing for Art’s safe return.

Luckily, Art was rescued along with his comrades, and tragedy averted.

A native of Ghana, Arts made his professional debut at Portugal’s prestigious FC Porto in 2011 before moving to Chelsea in 2013. Afterwards, he lived on loan at Vitesse, Everton, AFC Bournemouth, and Malaga, before settling in Newcastle in 2016 and playing an active role until 2021. In 2021, he moved his opponent to the stage of Turkiye via Al Raed in Saudi Arabia in 2021.

Arts played for Ghana from 2012 to 2019 and scored 9 goals in 65 matches.
