Aaron Judge (New York Yankees), last year’s American League home run leader in Major League Baseball (MLB), tied for the league lead in home runs with a dramatic ninth-inning tiebreaker.
With the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the ninth inning of a 4-5 loss to the Baltimore Orioles at Yankee Stadium in New York City on Thursday (Sept. 24), Judge hit a solo shot to left field to tie the game at 5-5.안전놀이터
It was his 14th home run of the season, tying him with Adolis Garcia (Texas Rangers) for the league lead. The Yankees, revitalized by Judge’s homer, rallied for a 6-5 victory in the bottom of the 10th inning on Anthony Wolfe’s game-winning sacrifice fly to extend their winning streak to five games.
After hitting just six home runs in March and April, Judge has completely rebounded with eight more this month. Judge hit 62 home runs last year, breaking the 61-year-old record held by teammate Roger Maris, and was named the league’s Most Valuable Player (MVP). MLB fans were thrilled to see a “clean home run king” break the record without relying on drugs.
