Rookie Eric Cole proposes on the Pebble Beach Pro-Am course

Rookie Eric Cole (USA) proposed to his long-time lover on the course ahead of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am (total prize money of 9 million dollars) of the PGA Tour.

During a practice round at Pebble Beach Links in California last Monday, Cole knelt down to propose from the tee at the 18th hole to Stephanie Williams, his girlfriend of 7 and a half years his junior, whom he has dated for 7 and a half years.

In the first round held at the Penisula Shores (par 71, 6957 yards) course in Monterey, Cole hit 6 under par 65 with 7 birdies and 1 bogie. In the second round at Pebble Beach Links, he cut another stroke to finish in a tie for 6th. In the third round, while playing at Spyglass Hill, he finished the half with an even par and is currently tied for 11th place (7 under par).

Eric Cole and Williams.

The 34-year-old Cole has been active in the second division since his debut on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2016, and has been in the first division for the first time this year after finishing in the top 50 in prize money, including a tie for third at the Korn Ferry Tour Tour Championship last year.

This season, he participated in 10 competitions and missed the half cut, but finished in a tie for 27th at the Mayakoba Championship in Mexico.

“I wasn’t expecting it at all, and the call totally surprised me,” said Williams, who received an unexpected marriage proposal. Regarding the result of the proposal, Cole smiled and said, “I got the answer I wanted” after the first round.

Cole has played Pebble Beach before, caddying for his best friend Sam Saunders at this event, but he did his first round of the course as a player during Monday’s practice round.

Marc Hubbard’s Marriage Proposal in 2015.먹튀검증

At the Pebble Beach Links, there was a player who proposed in 2015. Even at that time, PGA Tour rookie Mark Hubbard (USA) made headlines by displaying a marriage proposal message to his girlfriend on the billboard after the first round of the tournament. Right after Hubbard, then 25 years old, made a par putt on the green of the 18th hole, a message appeared on the scoreboard next door saying, ‘Megan, will you marry me?’

Hubbard walked up to his girlfriend Megan McCauley, startled by the billboard, got down on one knee and proposed to her, putting her diamond ring on Megan’s finger. Macaulay agreed, shedding tears of emotion, and the two hugged amid cheers and applause from the galleries. Since his marriage, Hubbard has won three tours, including the Corn Ferry Tour and the Canadian Tour.

It seems to be the romance of rookie players to make a touching proposal to their lover on the best course with the Pacific Ocean in the background. I am interested in whether Cole will have the best performance in this tournament.

The tournament, which was held at Pebble Beach, which is considered the best course by both amateur and professional golfers, will be broadcast live from 3:00 am on JTBC Golf & Sports and JTBC Golf, with the remainder of the third round postponed due to bad weather.
